US Free Classified Ads Frequently Asked Questions

Placing an ad on US Free Classified Ads is easy. Simply fill out a simple form and press enter and your free classified ad will be posted for 180 days.

How many free classified ads can I place?

You can place as many different ads as you want. Duplicate ads or the same ad placed in multiple categories will be deleted.

How do I place a free classified ad?

Click on the “Classifieds” link located just under the header bar of each page and click the “Place Ad” icon. You’ll be taken to a form. Some the form fields are required and some are optional. After filling the form out you’ll have the opportunity to upload 4 pictures into your ad.

What are the form fields and which are optional and which are required?

Ad Title (required). This is the headline for your ad. Look at our page “Effective Ad Writing” for good advice on placing an ad that will bring results.
Ad Category (required). Choose the category that best describes your item. It is required that you choose a sub-category if applicable.
Website URL (optional). If you have a website please enter the full URL in this field. (Example: http://us-free-classfied-ads.com ).
Name of person to contact (required).
Contact Person’s email (required). This email will not be shown to the public. If someone is interested in your ad an email will be sent to you with contact details. Your email address will be used to send you a confirmation email when your ad has been posted. An access key will be sent in your confirmation email. You’ll need this to edit or delete your classified ad. Ads will be removed if an invalid email address is placed in this field
Contact Person’s Telephone Number (optional).
Country (required).US Free Classified Ads are for intended for US residents only.
State (required). This is needed for a Classified Local Search.
City (required). This is needed for a Classified Local Search.
Item Price (optional). If you enter a price it must be entered in this format: 0.00.
Ad Details (required). Please be as descriptive as possible. Look at our page “Effective Ad Writing” for good advice on placing an ad that will bring results. Ads that contain only URL’s or are incomplete will be removed from the system.
Read and Agree to Terms of Service (required).
Enter the correct number in the numeric CAPTHA box (required).
Click Continue (required).
Ad an Image (optional). You may upload up to four images.
Click finish (required). This will take you to the ad sample page.
An email will be sent to the email address you entered. Do not delete that email. An access code will be sent with the email along with the URL of your ad. The access key will be needed to delete or edit your ad.

Is the link to my website an active link?

Yes. It is a genuine backlink to your webpage. It is clickable and clicking it will take you to your site. We do not block the link with the “no-follow” designation.

Can I use an affiliate link in my ad?

Sure.

How long will my free classified ad stay on the site?

180 days

How do I edit my classified ad listings?

After placing your ad an email confirmation will be sent to the email address you placed in the ad. An access key and the URL will be in the email. Do not delete this email. You’ll need the access key to edit or delete your free classified ad. After editing the ad you will be asked to read and agree to the terms of service and fill out the CAPTCHA.

What items can’t I list on US Free Classified Ads?

Classified Ads that contain anything pornographic or adult oriented, illegal items, hate items, or anything offensive will be removed. For a complete list please read our terms of service. US-Free-Classified-Ads.com reserves the right to delete or modify any ad for any reason.

How many words can I place in the description?

Up to 1000 characters. That is roughly 200 words.

How do I browse US Free Classified Ads?

Go to the “Classifieds” page. There are several ways you can view the classified ads:

Click the “Browse Ads” icon. You’ll immediately be taken to the page that shows the newest listings.
Click on any of the category links and see the ads listed in that category.
Click on the “Search Ads” icon. You’ll be taken to a form that asks for keywords and search terms, category, state and city.
